15th May 2012 - 3rd Annual (Brussels) Carbon Capture & Storage Summit: Assessing the Regulatory and Financial Framework for CCS

As European and global governments re-adjust their priorities in light of the continuing financial crises, this conference will analyse the impact that prolonged austerity will have on the roll-out of CCS in Europe. The European Commission's recent Energy Roadmap 2050 reiterates that CCS will play a critical role in the future of energy production in Europe, notably with gas, and that it will have to be "applied in the power sector from 2030 onwards in order to reach the decarbonisation targets".
