An F&L The European Freight and Logistics Leaders’ Forum series of short personal comments on the global freight logistics market
Here’s my beef! Can we build transport networks that are reliable; not just cheaper?
Capacity constraints, disruption, and volatility are no longer exceptions: they are the new normal. Yet too many transport decisions are still driven by short‑term vision which is gradually weakening the resilience of our networks. This session challenges that mindset.
“What began as a decarbonisation discussion has evolved into a strategic imperative for IKEA: intermodal transport as a core capability to secure capacity, improve reliability, and strengthen competitiveness”. But intermodal solutions only deliver value when they run seamlessly, and that requires true collaboration, aligned operational setups, and long-term thinking across the ecosystem.
Drawing from real supply‑chain experience, this session explores how shippers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders must work differently to move beyond transactional buying and instead build resilient transport networks that perform under pressure. It’s time to co-create future transport capabilities not just to manage risk, but to enable sustainable growth for our company.
This session with IKEA follows an F&L session with Amazon in April – read Spryos’ message to you about end-to-end intermodal for the most efficient solution.
