22 Nov 2023: “Still Waters Run Deep” – the freight logistics sector faces multiple pressures including cost, resilience and sustainability. But the perception of business as usual on the surface is hiding dramatic activity below. What changes are coming with geopolitical tensions, what may shifting trading patterns mean, and how can we balance our risks and opportunities?  F&L’s multi-stakeholder community met in Italy to look at our potential future through the microcosm of the Northern Adriatic region.  Business leaders across Europe & the Middle East were warmly welcomed.

  • Tue 21 Nov 2023 – afternoon visits/discussions & evening networking dinner (see tab ’21 Nov’)
  • Key day, Wed 22 Nov – round-table discussions & workshops & evening networking dinner (see tab ’22 Nov’)

See agenda tab & use the register tab or get in touch.

F&L is independent, and the benefit for participants of discussions at F&L is built around the network present.  Discussions are in confidence (we do not record, and press/media are not permitted). This is an in-person meeting.

Special tour around the Port of Trieste.

16:30 – 20:00, Demo & Networking Dinner

Everyone welcome.

Successfully utilised by the newbuild automotive industry for years, the R2L connector now increasing the number of crane-loadable trailers from 5 to 95%.  All industry sectors can use it, and it’s suitable for all kind of rubber-wheeled vehicles.  Trailers are loaded on to trains in less than 5 minutes.

Europe’s infrastructure lags behind future rail use policy scenarios.  Is this a solution?

We see this tool in use at Interporto Fernetti and discuss driver shortage / congestion / environmental emissions & ESG impact / if the R2L delivers what it appears to promise, and ask questions of an expert team.

Networking dinner will be provided on site and you will be delivered to the F&L conference hotel by electric bus at approximately 20:00 so that you have time to enjoy the delights of Trieste.

F&L is independent, not-for-profit and international.  We engage business leaders and decision-makers in global manufacturing, logistics (road, rail, sea, waterways, air), academia, policymakers and science.  All discussions are focused around freight logistics.
